Marc Miller is Minister of Indigenous Services and the Member of Parliament for Ville-Marie—Le Sud-Ouest—Île-des-Sœurs, located in Montreal, Quebec. Prior to being named Minister of Indigenous Services in November of 2019, he served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, the Chair of the Quebec Liberal Caucus and as a member of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development and the Subcommittee on International Human Rights.
Mr. Miller grew up in Montréal and graduated from McGill University in Common Law and Civil Law. Before becoming a Member of Parliament in October 2015, he practiced mergers and acquisitions, with a focus on international and commercial law, in Montreal, Stockholm and New York City.
Mr. Miller has been involved in several charitable and pro bono legal initiatives and served in the Canadian Armed Forces as an infantry section commander. He has also authored articles on constitutional and human rights law, and holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s in Political Science from the Université de Montréal.
